Eric Eisner is a National Board Certified teacher with 20 years in the profession. This is his 17th year at Uni. Previously, Eric spent three years teaching English at Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, during the first of which he completed his Masters in Education at UCLA. He studied English Language Literature at UC Santa Cruz and minored in Education—that is, when he wasn't hiking in the forest and climbing redwood trees, playing guitar, or writing poetry in the meadows. Growing up in Los Angeles, Mr. Eisner graduated Cleveland High Humanities Magnet where he was inspired to study literature, philosophy, and the arts due to one particularly unique teacher with a long white beard, chucks, and fluorescent Hawaiian button downs with watermelon print. In his free time, besides having an insatiable appetite for grading papers and creating pedagogical apparati for student mind-expansion, he likes to write (novels, short stories mostly), and to be outdoors...mainly because it's better out there.
"May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds."
